The difference between Coated CCA wire and Electroplated CCA wire

Copper clad aluminum is divided into copper clad aluminum wire

and electroplated copper-clad aluminum wire according to its process.

The difference is that the coated copper clad aluminum wire is

coated with a T2 electrolytic copper strip on the electrolytic aluminum rod by a sub-arc welding technique,

and then drawn into a metal atom-bonded bimetal material;

The electroplated copper clad aluminum wire is plated on the aluminum rod.

Of course, other treatments are needed before plating, otherwise, the direct plating is not plated.

Analysis of advantages and disadvantages:

Coated copper-clad aluminum wire has

Better oxidation resistance,

Better electrical performance (no problem in exporting to the EU),

Higher cost performance, especially in the RF field, even better than copper wire;

Copper-clad aluminum wire, shortcomings More,

Easy to oxidize, peel,

and sometimes pull the small wire,

the surface of the electroplated copper is easy to pull off,

the electrical performance is poor,

the advantage is cheap.
