What is this product used for?

Answer-first Product Overview

ZION Digital Linear Heat Detection Cable is used to detect fixed-temperature fire or overheating conditions along cable routes, equipment zones, outdoor areas and industrial environments where point detectors may not cover the protected path effectively. It is suitable for fire alarm contractors, industrial safety engineers, system integrators and distributors who need LHD cable with control unit and end-of-line box support. The most important specifications are alarm temperature, cable type, ambient temperature, installation environment, control unit voltage and fire alarm panel interface. Before ordering, confirm the project temperature class, standard/outdoor/explosion-proof type, required cable length, control unit quantity, EOL box quantity and documentation needs.

Comparison With Alternatives

This Product Alternative Product Difference When to Choose Risk
Linear Heat Detection Cable Normal Fire Alarm Cable LHD cable detects heat; normal fire alarm cable only transmits signal Choose LHD cable when the cable itself must detect overheating or fire Do not substitute normal cable for detection cable
Digital LHD Cable Point Heat Detector LHD cable monitors along a route; point detector monitors one location Choose LHD for long cable trays, routes or difficult-to-access zones Point-only detection may miss overheating away from detector position
Fixed-temperature Digital LHD Cable Analog / Addressable Heat Detection Cable Digital type works as fixed-temperature alarm switch; analog systems may provide more detailed temperature/location functions depending on design Choose digital LHD when fixed alarm temperature and simple output are sufficient Do not use digital type where continuous temperature measurement or exact location reporting is required
CR/OD LHD Cable Conventional LHD Cable CR/OD type is UV/weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor/corrosive environments Choose CR/OD for outdoor, acid, alkali or salt spray environments Standard type may not fit exposed outdoor environments
EP LHD Cable Conventional LHD Cable EP type has woven metal mesh for anti-EMI performance and static elimination Choose EP for harsh EMI or explosion-proof project requirements Confirm project approval requirements; do not assume one model fits all hazardous area standards
LHD Cable System Smoke Detector Heat detection responds to temperature; smoke detector responds to smoke Choose LHD where heat detection along a route is required Smoke detection and heat detection should not be treated as interchangeable without system design confirmation
