Low-voltage security cabling for plenum building pathways
Plenum security cable is normally specified when low-voltage security circuits pass through plenum or air-handling spaces. The correct product should be selected by route type, device function, current requirement, signal sensitivity, cable length, conductor count, shielding and documentation needs.
- Security devices: alarm sensors, door contacts, PIR, glass-break sensors, keypads, panels, relays and auxiliary outputs.
- Access control points: readers, REX buttons, lock control, door contacts and controller cabinet wiring.
- Route conditions: plenum ceiling spaces, equipment rooms, conduit sections, security panels and mixed low-voltage pathways.
- Supply workflow: route review, device mapping, AWG selection, shield requirement, sample check and RFQ confirmation.
