What Is an FTP CAT6A Toolless Keystone Jack?
This product is a shielded RJ45 termination module for CAT6A permanent links. The metal housing supports a continuous shielded channel when it is installed with compatible shielded cable, patch panels and grounding practices.
The toolless closing mechanism removes the need for a separate punch-down tool during normal field termination. Model ZCTLKJF6A-B1 accepts 22–24 AWG solid wire and can be installed in compatible modular panels, outlets and faceplates after fit verification.
Shielded Construction and Toolless Termination
The metal enclosure provides mechanical protection and supports shield continuity in compatible FTP cabling systems.
The hinged termination design supports field wiring without a conventional punch-down tool.
The internal IDC structure uses new PC material and accepts 22–24 AWG solid conductors.
Key Benefits
The toolless structure simplifies installation when a separate punch-down tool is not preferred.
Designed for shield-compatible permanent links using matched cable, panels and grounding methods.
The zinc-alloy shell helps protect the internal RJ45 and IDC contact structure.
The IDC is specified for common 22–24 AWG solid conductors used in horizontal cabling.
Specified for at least 750 RJ45 mating cycles and at least 250 IDC termination cycles.
Gold-plating requirements can be confirmed from the standard option through customized project levels.
Applications
- Shielded CAT6A patch panels in network cabinets.
- Commercial-building telecommunications outlets.
- Data-center and equipment-room copper links.
- Industrial and enterprise LAN installations using shielded cabling.
- Compatible modular faceplates, surface boxes and consolidation points.
Selection Guide
Use this FTP module in a shielded CAT6A link. Select a UTP module for an unshielded channel architecture.
Verify 22–24 AWG solid conductors, insulation diameter, cable OD and shield construction before ordering.
Compare the dimensional drawing with the panel, faceplate or box and allow sufficient rear cable clearance.

FAQ
Does this CAT6A keystone jack require a punch-down tool?
No. The module uses a toolless termination structure. Follow the wiring sequence and closing procedure defined for the selected cable.
Which conductors fit the IDC?
The IDC is specified for 22–24 AWG solid conductors. Confirm the conductor and insulation diameters before ordering.
Is this module shielded?
Yes. The zinc-alloy housing is intended for shielded CAT6A channel architectures. Confirm bonding and shield continuity across the complete link.
Where can the module be installed?
It can be used with compatible shielded modular patch panels, faceplates, outlets and surface boxes after mechanical-fit verification.
What should be included in an RFQ?
Provide the model, cable construction, conductor size, shield type, mounting hardware, quantity, contact-plating requirement, labeling and packing needs.
