Circuit inputs
Use a conservative endpoint calculation when the entire alarm load is treated as if it were at the far end.
AWG comparison
Compare nominal copper sizes using the same endpoint circuit inputs and temperature correction. Custom-resistance mode is shown separately.
| Conductor | Corrected resistance | Voltage drop | Far-end voltage | Maximum distance | Result |

Engineering checks beyond voltage drop
Confirm minimum panel output, allowed wire range, terminal capacity and the last appliance's listed voltage. Addressable loops also require resistance, capacitance and inductance checks.
AWG presets are screening values. Final calculations should use the selected cable's maximum DC resistance, conductor temperature and applicable manufacturing tolerance.
Voltage drop does not establish plenum, riser, PH120, CWZ or other fire-performance compliance. Select pathway rating and circuit integrity separately.
