The EPFU cable is designed for use in FTTx networks, particularly for FTTH (Fiber to the Home) applications. It features a core made of optical fibers and filler elements arranged in parallel within photosensitive resin. This is then encased in a low-friction material forming the outer sheath. The cable is specifically engineered with grooves that facilitate long-distance air-blowing installation using air-blowing equipment.
Available in 2, 4, 6, 8, and 12 fiber options.
Uses G657A2 bending-insensitive fibers.
