■ Introduction:

The flat drop cable is a compact and reliable solution for smaller fiber counts, often used in the final sections of optical networks. It is available in configurations with 1, 2, or 4 color-coded optical fibers, providing flexibility based on the application. The cable is reinforced with two parallel FRP (Fiber Reinforced Polymer) strength members to protect the optical fibers. The final protection layer is an LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket, ensuring safety during indoor or outdoor operation. This cable is commonly used in FTTH (Fiber to the Home) networks.
